Automatic backwashing filter model 2TF

Model 2TF is a self-cleaning filter that works under pressure. The filter is designed for purification of raw water and hot and cold process water.

Typical areas of application are filtration of sealing water, cooling water and spray water in all water-consuming industries and hydroelectric power stations.

Function

The contaminants that are collected on the outside of the screen element/slotted tubes are backwashed efficiently into the drain. The filter is backwashed by using compressed air which flushes out filtered water at high speed from the container’s upper section, through the slotted tubes and through the drain. The backwashing takes place automatically as the pressure drop across the filter increases as well as after a preset time. The control panel is available in two versions, PLC or based on relay contacts. The control panel is fitted with a change-over switch for selection of the appropriate run mode, which means that the filter can be run with alternate filtration with one filter tower in operation and one in standby position, or with both filter towers in operating mode. The screen rods are slotted screens with conical taper.

A wash pump is not required. No moving parts. Large filter surface, low pressure drop. The slotted tubes with conical taper are made of stainless steel which tolerates a high differential pressure. Unchanged capacity in connection with backwashing. No pressure spikes. No air mixed in during backwashing.
