Self-cleaning automatic filter model LDLThe filter works under pressure and is designed for removal of solid contaminants in pipe systems. Typical areas of application are purification of lake and river water intended for process and cooling water systems in all water-consuming industries, hydroelectric power stations and heating plants.

FunctionThe water is fed in via the inlet connection into the screen cage, out through the side of the cage and on to the outlet. On the outside of the screen cage, there is a filter cloth backed up by a perforated plate, or just a perforated plate. The contaminants are retained against the filter media in the screen cage’s collection pockets. The filter is automatically backwashed via time and differential pressure monitoring. When the filter is backwashed, the filter’s motor starts and the discharge valve in the side of the container opens. The filter motor drives the backwash arm that slowly sweeps around along the screen cage's collection pockets, which causes collected contaminants to be washed efficiently into the drain. The backwashing takes place at high speed as only a small part of the filter surface is rinsed per time unit.
Approximately 50 to 1500 m3/h Filter fineness: 0.1 to 1.5 mm Connection dimensions: DN50 to DN400 0.15 – 0.25 kW, depending on filter size. Stainless steel EN1.4301 or EN1.4404 and EN1.4436.
A wash pump is not required. Even large objects are washed efficiently into the drain. The large filter surface guarantees reliable operation and low pressure drop. No bearings in the bottom of the container. Changing filter cloths is simple and cheap. The filter cloth/perforated plate is well protected from the rotating backwash arm. Easy to inspect. The complete screen unit, including drive, can be lifted up as a complete unit. There are then no parts left in the container.
